Google Testing Call Extension Placement

Originally posted on PPC Hero: Looks like Google AdWords is trialing a new format for click-to-call extensions with the extension appearing in the headline for some search ads. It would seem that Google  is testing the impact on click-through rate of click to call from the different layout of text. It originally appeared in the states, but we have also seen it appearing in New Zealand mobile devices as well.

Depending on the results of the Beta, we could expect to see click-to-call extensions become even more prominent in mobile search.
